FAQ

Your questions, answered plainly.

Everything you might want to know before joining the waitlist: how Priszim works, where your data lives, and what it costs. If something's missing, the security page goes deeper on data handling.

Getting started

What is Priszim?

Priszim is a personal CFO for cross-border US–Canada financial life. It brings your accounts from both countries into one honest view, with every figure in its own currency. It tracks spending, budgets, investments, and net worth, and lets you ask an AI assistant plain-English questions grounded in your real numbers.

How does Priszim work?

Connect your banks securely with Plaid, or import statements (CSV, XLSX, PDF). Priszim sorts your transactions into categories that learn from your corrections, distills what changed into a short Daily Brief, and answers questions about your money using your actual transactions and balances, never generic advice.

Do I need accounts in both countries?

No. Priszim works fine with accounts in one country. You get a clean, single-currency experience. The cross-border features light up automatically when your money actually spans the border, and not before.

What platforms does Priszim run on?

Priszim launches on iOS first, as a native app. A responsive web companion works in any modern browser alongside it, talking to the same account.

Your data

Where is my data stored?

Priszim is a hosted service, and your account lives in its own isolated database on Priszim's servers, never pooled with other users' data. Everything travels over encrypted connections. Data leaves those servers for exactly three reasons: to Anthropic when you ask the AI a question, to Plaid if you choose to connect a bank, and to market-price feeds to keep investment values current. Nothing else, and nothing is ever sold or shared.

What does the AI see?

Only the context needed to answer your question, and that context is scrubbed first. Account numbers, SSNs and SINs, emails, and phone numbers are removed before any request reaches the AI. And to be clear about what it is: Priszim's AI is an assistant, not a financial advisor. It explains and organizes; the decisions stay with you.

Can I delete my data?

Yes, completely. One request deletes every transaction, account, conversation, and setting, plus the account itself. We honor deletion rights under both CCPA and PIPEDA, in full, for everyone.

Does Priszim share or sell my data?

No. Priszim is a subscription: when you pay, you're the customer, not the product. No ads, no analytics brokers, no data sales. The full picture is on the security page.

Bank connections

How does Priszim get my transactions?

Two ways, equally supported: connect your banks securely with Plaid, or import statements yourself (CSV, XLSX, PDF). Either way, access is read-only: Priszim can see your transactions but can never move money.

Is my bank login safe?

Your bank credentials go to Plaid, the same connection service used by major financial apps, and are never seen or stored by Priszim. What Priszim keeps is a limited access token, encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. Even in the worst case, that token grants read-only access; it can't move money.

What if my bank isn't supported by Plaid?

Import a statement instead. Most banks let you download a CSV, Excel, or PDF statement from online banking, and Priszim reads all three. Statement import is a first-class path, not a fallback.

Can I disconnect a bank later?

Yes, any time. Your historical transactions are kept; only future syncing stops. You can reconnect later if you change your mind.

Using Priszim

What can I ask the AI?

Anything about your money. "What did I spend on restaurants in both countries last month?" "What's my biggest recurring charge?" "Can I afford to move money to my Canadian account this month?" Answers are grounded in your real transactions, balances, and budgets, on both sides of the border, and Priszim remembers context across conversations.

Can the AI make changes for me?

It can propose them (set a budget, recategorize a transaction, hide an account), but nothing happens without your explicit confirmation. Priszim shows you exactly what it's about to do and waits for your yes, every time.

What if a transaction lands in the wrong category?

Tap the category and pick the right one. Priszim learns from every correction, so future transactions from that merchant get sorted correctly. You can review and remove learned rules whenever you like.

Does Priszim file my taxes?

No. Priszim organizes and packages your cross-border financial picture so you and your accountant can see what's going on. The gathering and explaining that used to take hours happens in minutes. It doesn't determine your obligations or prepare returns; that stays between you and your tax professional.

Pricing & launch

What does Priszim cost?

One plan with everything included: $12.99/month, or $99.99/year, about $8.33 a month. Every subscription starts with a 7-day free trial, billing runs through the App Store, and you can cancel anytime. Details on the pricing page.

How does the free trial work?

Seven days of the full product: nothing gated, nothing throttled. Your first charge lands after day 7, Apple sends a reminder before the trial converts, and canceling before then costs nothing. Refunds are handled by Apple; see our refunds page.

When does Priszim launch?

We're launching on iOS first. The waitlist is how you get in. Founding members receive early access invitations as we roll out.

What does joining the waitlist get me?

Early access when Priszim launches on iOS, and launch pricing locked in: if pricing ever changes later, yours doesn't. No spam: a handful of emails, ever.

Still curious? The answer is probably "join the waitlist."

Early access starts on iOS. Founding members get launch pricing, locked.
